I first learned of Dr. Alex Brennan only by way of God's divine love for me. My story is a simple one. I was first injured in a car accident somewhere around 1990. Like most young people, I didn’t think I was hurt too bad and went on with my life not realizing the impact it would have later on my life. I reinjured that injury by falling from a horse about 5 years later. Shortly after the last injury, I found myself in debilitating pain and thus began my many many years of treatments by medical doctors, pain clinics, and a variety of different pain medications and narcotic drugs.
Dr. Brennan, using the wisdom that God provided him, had his assistant make cold calls to the community, one of which happened to be to me. NONE of the interventions by doctors and none of the pain medications were helping. At the moment Heather's phone call found me, I was at the point of picking up the phone to try something else (what I didn't know). I was very frustrated at being in pain and taking 15 pills in the mornings to just get out of bed. Not knowing where to turn, I put the phone back down. Then it rang, it was Heather offering a free evaluation with Dr Brennan. I immediately jumped at the chance, since I was in such dire straights.
The day I first met Dr. Brennan, I was full of skepticism and doubt, with pain in my neck which had been there since the equestrian accident and a new pain in my hip that was severely hampering my ability to get around. Dr. Brennan adjusted me and for the first time in approximately three weeks I was able to walk with no pain in my leg! It has now been almost six months and that pain has not returned. I have also been able to cut the narcotic medication completely out and have cut all medication almost completely.
Since meeting Dr. Brennan I have gone from having to sleep with medications next to my bed for the pain that would wake me at night to sleeping though the night and only taking medications necessary to continue a "normal" life.
To Dr. Brennan, I applaud you for your God given vision and thank you for the time and effort you have put into following God's plan for your life. In doing so, you have freed me from the shackles of pain and debilitation that would render me helpless and driven to tears.

I was referred to Dr. Brennan by a golf buddy of mine. As I got older, I found it more and more difficult to enjoy playing golf, due to the pain I experienced while playing. After working with Dr. Brennan for over a year now, I can't wait to get out of work and play a few holes.

After the birth of my daughter I continually suffered with severe headaches. I of course did the normal thing and scheduled an appointment with my family physician. He referred me to a neurologist and after a battery of tests, MRIs, and such they could not determine a cause and suggested I simply medicate my condition. This was not an acceptable solution for me.
My husband suggested I see a friend of his who was a chiropractor. I went to see Dr. Brennan, he took my x-rays and we discussed a plan for my treatment. Within a few short weeks I had relief from my headaches and they have not returned as I am adjusted on a regular basis.
Being adjusted does not just help with headaches, my son suffered with multiple ear infections each year. I decided rather than take the usual course of action (antibiotics), I would have him adjusted also on Dr. Brennan's recommendation. He no longer gets any ear infections.
In fact, my whole family is adjusted weekly. We do not get ill very often if at all. I have two elementary school children and I am a kindergarten teacher working with "germs" all of the time. I have had perfect attendance at work for the last three years and my children have each missed less than 3 days of school in the last three years. We have been adjusted by Dr. Brennan regularly during those three years.
Now I mentioned Dr. Brennan was a friend of my husband's so I felt more comfortable seeking treatment with him as opposed to a doctor I did not know at all. I now consider Dr. Brennan a friend of mine as well now. That is the amazing thing about Dr. Brennan , he has the ability to make everyone feel comfortable.

Here is the story about our kids and how your chiropractic care has changed our lives:
Madison was a full-term baby delivered without drugs or instruments of any kind. She was also breastfed. Madison experienced her first ear infection when she was four months old. She took the prescribed medicines and seemed to get better. The next month there was another ear infection and so became the cycle of sickness. Madison went on to have thirteen ear infections by the time she was two and half. Each time she suffered through fever, severe pain and antibiotics that sometimes made her sick. Madison actually never fully recovered and her ears remained partially infected and filled with fluid. I began to give Madison extra Vitamin C, Echinacea and removed dairy products from her diet to aid her body in preventing the ear infections. The final ear infection resulted in a trip to the emergency room where Madison was given an injection of potent medicine as well as Tylenol and Advil because her fever was 105 degrees. Madison was exhausted and the doctors said that she needed tubes immediately. They also wanted her on antibiotics continually until the surgery was complete. We made the appointment and were seven days away from the date when I was referred to Dr. Alex Brennan.
I had never heard of chiropractic care preventing a child from suffering ear infections, but made the appointment anyway. When we met Dr. Alex, he was very patient and took the time to explain his work. Shortly thereafter he proceeded to examine Madison’s neck and spine. After asking questions Dr. Alex then shared why he believed Madison suffered ear infections and also why antibiotics never worked long term. Madison’s neck was misaligned acutely and her lymph nodes were unable to drain properly causing all the bacteria and viruses to collect in that area. I cancelled the surgery appointment and arranged for Madison to see Dr. Alex three times a week. I decided to suspend all vitamin supplements and evaluate Madison’s health apart from any other source. Needless to say we were shocked when Madison became a different child in just a couple of weeks. She no longer had any pain and her body was full of life. Two years later, Madison has had three feverless colds that lasted a few days, but the ear infections vanished! Dr. Alex’s work with Madison has produced remarkable results and saved us thousands in medical expenses.
Kaleb, our second child, who also had colds and a couple of ear infections early on, followed Madison’s schedule and has experienced almost the same exact results. The ear infections ceased and rarely does he get a cold. The whole family receives regular weekly adjustments from Dr. Alex and we have greater health because of chiropractic care.

We all experience sad times in our lives. I lost my uncle to cancer, but I soon realized that God was going to use this to affect my life more than I could imagine. I met Dr. Alex Brennan through the referral from my aunts’ Chiropractor when she moved after my uncles’ passing.
Right before I started being seen by Dr. Brennan, I was having neck pains that I could not explain during one of my football games. This occurrence, however, was one of many. It was because of this that I wanted answers for this pain. I then met Dr. Brennan and within a month or less, I was not having those same problems. But, his guidance did not stop there. At that I weighed 250 lbs., and at fifteen years old needed to make some changes. It was then, that Dr. Brennan took me “under his wing,” and he has taught me how to eat better, exercise better, and live a healthier lifestyle. Within about three months, I had lost thirty pounds, and being the healthiest I can remember ever being. Since being a patient of Dr. Brennan’s, I have only been sick once, and it only lasted for one day (compared to 2-5 days).
If you have just one conversation with him, you will realize that he is not only concerned about the shape of your spine, but also with your overall health, and your spiritual health. You can also feel when you walk into the office, a sense of family. There are many people from different backgrounds, and from different states, that have come to North Carolina, and have met people (and some become friends) because of this one place that is common to them all. When you walk into the door, you will feel welcome by Dr. Brennan, the staff, and the other patients who are there also.
It is because of what I have learned, and seen, in the office, that I am now planning to go to college to be a Chiropractor myself. I see what goes on in that office, and think about what great things are happening, and the lives that are being touched, and it is very inspiring to see what could happen if this thing grew.
I encourage you, if you are skeptical about Chiropractics, to have an open mind, and go beyond convention, and what we have been taught all of our lives. Believe me, God made us to be able to heal naturally, and this is the way to go.
